The March Technical Meeting was conducted as a virtual meeting in place of an in-person meeting.
The two resources listed below were able to be reviewed by members:
1. The Safety Professional’s Role in Planning for a Pandemic (news article)
2. Webinar: “Coronavirus Q&A session” with Deb Roy (60 minutes)
There were 20 members that participated during the last two weeks of March when these items were available to view.
Thank you to those who participated in this virtual meeting!
The ASSP has provided a compilation of information as guidance for members on the coronavirus. There is very useful information, links to the CDC and WHO, and links to other guidance from national experts.
We had the February Technical Meeting on February 27, 2020 with 15 people in attendance.
Fran Sehn presented on “Risk Management for the Safety Professional – Reducing risk is the key to injury prevention!”.
We had the President and Vice President of the Slippery Rock University Student Chapter, Damon Morris and Nick Ravotti. It was good to see them at the meeting and talk with them.

The planning meetings are via conference call on a monthly basis for about 30 minutes each, then assisting with the event on the day of the event.
