BotsIQ is a manufacturing workforce development program of the Pittsburgh Chapter National Tooling & Machining Foundation whose goal is to provide a pathway for youth to learn about rewarding career options in manufacturing. Simply put, it’s those awesome battle bot competitions you have seen on TV!!
What we are in need of are volunteers to donate their time to serve as Safety Inspectors for these events and also individuals who would be able to remotely “judge” safety plans. This is a great opportunity to get involved with students that may be entering your workforces and you can gain some re-certification points along the way.
Secondly, we are looking for OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainers in Fayette and Westmoreland Counties who would be willing to donate their time to instruct training for this organization as well. You don’t need to reside in these counties but that is where the training will be conducted.
If interested in getting involved with either of these opportunities, please contact Chapter President Josh Becker at email@example.com.
