Topic: Interactive Discussion on Having a Fire Department as your Rescue Team – Do you have realistic expectations?
Description: This presentation will be an interactive discussion format. Many types of work require rescue services (i.e. confined space entry, Hazmat and working from heights), if you depend on your local fire department, you might be setting yourself up for failure! A discussion about the current state of the fire service in Western PA and a refresher on where rescue services are required as well as best practice suggestions.
Learning objectives:
– Examine the current state of the fire service in Western PA
– Review requirements for rescue services outlined in OSHA standards
– Examine best practices in engaging emergency services in your community
– Recommend proactive approaches to ensuring compliance and worker safety

Jeremy Dixon is the HSE Program Manager at Employbridge. His experience includes:
