Fellow ASSP WPA Chapter Members,

I wish to, again, thank those members that responded to the Member Survey conducted recently by the Chapter Executive Committee! We will do our best to incorporate as much of the information that we received from the survey into this Chapter year and in subsequent Chapter years. We received very useful information.

I would also like to thank those members that have reached out to the Executive Committee to volunteer on various committees to assist with the operation of the Chapter for this chapter year, July 01, 2022, through June 30, 2023. If you are interssted in volunteering, contact any member of your Executive Committee.

The Western PA Professional Development Conference (PDC) is scheduled for April 27, 2023, at the Loft Conference Center adjacent to the AC Marriott Pittsburgh Southpointe, Canonsburg PA. We are in the process of assembling the PDC Planning Committee. If you are interested in participating on the 2023 PDC Planning Committee, send me an email to me and we will get you on the committee.

Our October Technical Tour is at the IUP Cogeneration Plant hosted by the IUP Student Section. It is on October 13, 2022. Participants are eligible to be awarded 0.2 CEUs for attending the tour. Registration is open on the Chapter website. The information on the November tour or meeting will be placed on the Chapter website very soon. The December Holiday meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 16, 11:30am, at the Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh. More details will be put out soon.

If you have ideas for tours or meetings, recommendations for tours or speakers, or ideas for tours or meetings contact any one of the Executive Committee members listed on the website. We continue to plan the monthly events and are trying to schedule more tours than meetings. We are trying to get more involved with and provide more support to the Student Sections of IUP, SRU, and Thiel College.
