PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Happy Winter!
We survived the first Polar Vortex of 2019!
As we move into 2019 and, essentially, the second half of the Chapter year, we are planning a busy schedule of events through June 2019.

The slate of candidates for the 2019-2020 chapter year is set with elections to begin March 1. More information will follow on the candidates in the contested races (Vice President and Treasurer). Read the article below.

The February Technical Meeting is a lunch meeting with a presentation on "A Systematic Approach to Safety Performance". Registration is open!

The March Technical Meeting is a tour of the Uber HQ for self-driven vehicles and the factory. Registration is open!

The April Technical Meeting is a Lunch meeting with OSHA CSHO's providing an OSHA Update. Registration is open!

Make sure to read the article about how the record profits from the 2018 PDC will be supporting an increase in the amouts of scholorships that the Chapter can provide through the ASSP Foundation.

The 2019 Joint PDC is scheduled for November 13, 2019 at IUP. Save the Date!
The PDC Planning Committee is looking for volunteers with fresh ideas. If you are interested in volunteering for the Planning Committee, contact Tracey Cekada at
cekadat@iup.edu

The CEUs for the 2018 PDC have been credited in the amount of 0.6 CEUs to each members ASSP member account under Transcripts.

The Executive Committee continuously encourages you to let us know what you think about the Chapter, the newsltter, and/or if you have ideas for meetings, tours, or speakers. Help us to provide you with value for the dues you are paying the Society and the Chapter each year.

Thank you for working to keep workers safe! Their families appreciate it!

Respectfully,
Wayne Vanderhoof CSP
