PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Greetings!
As we are entering the midway point of the last quarter of 2018, heading for the holidays and dealing with ole' man Winter, the Chapter activities are being planned for 2019.
Our next Technical Meeting will be in conjunction with the Annual PDC on Nov. 14 at Slippery Rock University. Registration is open and can be accessed through the link in the Chapter Events section. Please note that all of the meeting dates are listed in the section so that you can plan around the dates. The website will be maintained to ensure the most up-to-date information.
The December Holiday Lunch & Meeting is Friday December 7, 2018 at the Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh in the SouthSide Works. The cost is for Professional $30.00 and for Students $15.00. Registration is Open!
There are a few News articles to note. One is on the SRU Student Section Chapter WISE Conference. Another is an article on the need for volunteers for the Nominations and Elections Committee. Another article is an update on the September Technical Meeting. These articles can be found in the Chapter News section. All of the links will take you to sections on the chapter website.
The Executive Committee continuously encourages you to let us know what you think about the Chapter, the newsltter, and/or if you have ideas for meetings, tours, or speakers. Help us to provide you with value for the dues you are paying the Society and the Chapter each year.

OSHA 7845 Record Keeping Course - Free (Limited Quantity)
We have a great FREE training opportunity for members!
The CHapter has been allotted 3 FREE slots, first come- first serve for the OSHA 7845 Record Keeping Course in Pittsburgh on November 15th, 2018. This is being hosted by the WVU SHE and is a $150 value and is worth 0.3 CEU’s.
